So, he’s smart in that sense.The pop singer and former member of boyband One Direction issued a statement saying: “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.” When he’s in the middle of a family thing and everyone’s like, ‘Zayn, whose side are you on?’ he’s charming. “At first he was like, ‘How do I get a word in edgewise?’ But now he is very comfortable,” Hadid, a Los Angeles native, told Harper’s Bazaar in July. Over the summer, Gigi Hadid said in an interview that the musician usually takes her mother’s side during family discussions. He and Hadid were supposedly living their half time. At one point, Malik bought a home in rural Pennsylvania, not far from where Yolanda Hadid lives, the Daily Mail said. It’s not clear where Malik’s argument with Hadid’s mother took place. It rekindled when the model announced she was pregnant with their daughter.
Malik and Hadid, 26, have had an on-again, off-again relationship that began in 2015. Malik mentioned that an unnamed relative of his “partner” entered “our home while my partner was away several weeks ago.” He despaired that this “private matter” had been “leaked” to the press and said he would remain “vigilant” in protecting Khai and in giving her “the privacy she deserves.” He said he didn’t want his daughter to be in a household “where private family matters” are “thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart.”

His statement referred to him and the Victoria’s Secret model trying to “co-parent” their daughter, suggesting that they are currently not together as a couple. The British singer also cast doubt on his relationship with Gigi Hadid, the Daily Mail reported. In a second Twitter statement, Malik released a few choice details, including his claim that the incident was triggered by his effort to “protect a safe space” for Khai. Gigi Hadid, meanwhile, is apparently trying not to get in the middle of the dispute, saying in a statement obtained by Us Weekly: “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline any further details,” Malik, 28, said in a statement released through his representative, the Daily Mail reported.
